May 17th, 2004 - New Clocks Installed in 1908 Steeples

On Monday, May 17, The Most Rev. Bishop Edward M. Grosz, D.D., V.G. presided over the blessing of 8 new clock faces to be installed in the twin towers of Saint Stanislaus Church. Immediately after the blessing, workers from the Verdin Company began the installation. The faces replace the original clocks that were installed by the Rev. John Pitass in 1908.  The 8 new Aluminum and Lexan clock faces, located 150 above street level, are 6 ft, 5 inches in diameter and will be illuminated at night.
